An Efficient Computational Technique for the Electromagnetic Scattering by Prolate Spheroids

In this paper we present an efficient Matlab computation of a 3-D electromagnetic scattering problem, in which plane wave impinges with generic inclination onto conducting ellipsoid revolution. This solid is obtained by the rotation ellipse around one its axes, also known as spheroid. We have developed fast and ad hoc code to solve using spheroidal vector functions, are special functions used describe physical problems prolate or oblate reference system considered. Numerical results presented, both for TE TM polarization incident wave, validated comparison commercial simulator.
